About the Artist
Hello, viewer! My name is Austin Pennington, a Graphic Designer and Illustrator. I have been interested in art since the day I first started drawing from a Sonic the Hedgehog comic book at four years old. My creative background formally began with traditional art in middle and high school. I quickly began learning various traditional media and found dry pastel and graphite/charcoal to be my favorite tools to use.
Sometime in high school, video games and digital media steered me towards digital art and illustration as well, motivating me to experiment with my parents' Photoshop Elements 3 program. As I ventured into college, I started to focus my interest in Graphic Design as a whole and pursued these interests as an Advertisement Design major. By May 2010, I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Advertisement design.
The works in my gallery feature Graphic Designs, Illustrations, and Traditional Artwork that encompass my art accomplishments between high school to post-college career and freelance projects. Digital works are created using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign from the latest Creative Suite. Traditional works were made with a variety of media from pastels to printmaking.
I like to consider my style very versatile, detail-oriented and refined, but it continues to evolve as I grow as a designer and illustrator. I hope you enjoy the gallery, and may Christ be with you always.
